The Fate of the Nox
Hello Tarnished, i bring here conflict that im currently with: The Nox armor description.
Original: Nox Swordstress Armor
Armor worn by swordstresses of the Eternal City. These women are the personal guards of the nightmaidens, and wear silk capes.
Long ago, the Nox invoked the ire of the Greater Will, and were banished deep underground. Now they live under a false night sky, in eternal anticipation of their liege. Of the coming age of the stars. And their Lord of Night.
The Japanese Text:
The key diference between them:
Rather than being "banished", the JP uses 滅ぼされた, meaning "to destroy" to say that they were destroyed in the depths of the underground. Either that they ended up underground because of being destroyed, or that they were underground and destroyed there.
So im here with two separated thoughts:
They were destroyed or defeated by someone and then banished to the underground.
- They were destroyed or defeated in the Underground by someone or something.
Two different possibilities that leads to very interesting conclusions.
I want to know your thoughts and points of view on the subject. Don’t you dare go hollow.
Shoutout to: r/The_RedScholar for doing a sheet that i could check the descriptions myself and for pointing out the diferences of the two translation. To the content creator Garrulous Goldmask for presenting the existing diference in his video “Is the Greater Will even alive ?”. And to the content creator Smoughtown that told me Goldmask had a video about it and for giving his thoughts on the subject.
