Because of DLC, Ranni's ending + Goldmask's ending they are remarkably not a 'good' ending. (Explicitly imo)
This is firstly my opinion. And Secondly thusly based on how I viewed the situation.
Ranni's whole plan. Stated at best - (Essentially was)/(is) "The point is to take all the influence of the gods and the stars far away, where they cant reach the people of this world. No guidance, no gods, nothing to tell the people how to live their lives."
Essentially get rid of God's = Better World.
But I have problems with this ideology. What prevents what Miquella had done.
What prevents the impact of Metyr and that Metyr had on the Golden Order. (Please keep in mind - Metyr is not a God.) / and how Metyr from both Gideon's perspective // and Ymir's was not guided by any which lead the world to it's current state of affairs.
I don't see what prevents - the creation of those physical gods like Marika/Miquella.
I don't see what prevents - those who weren't guided by the Greater Will / to pretend to continue that role.
And I most importantly won't see the impact.
This isn't about 'hating' Ranni or anything for clarification. I just can't fathom how her order "fixes the issue" - now.. perhaps if Goldmask had a hand in it I could see it how it is physically maintained.
But the difference between Ranni & Goldmask is one is a physical boundary vs another which is a more-so spiritually based boundary.
In the literal sense. Where I see Ranni's faults I see Goldmask's "success" and vice versa.
Lore wise I can see if they'd work together perhaps they could of established something akin to a greater fix. But you can't.
