Is anyone else having this issue playing with Xbox and ps4?

So my boyfriend plays on Xbox one, and I play on ps4. I have never had an issue before with playing with him, but now it won’t at all let me join his game or vise versa. Is anyone else having this issue? And does anyone know how to fix it?
