Boc the seamster, trouble progressing his storyline [Possibly Mid to Late-game spoilers]

I am currently having trouble progressing through boc's storyline idk if i possibly screwed it up. I am currently in the leyndell royal capital where you meet him in one of the grace, where i gave him the golden needle i found in the church of vows and after a dialogue option became available talking about rebirth in raya lucaria academy and it gave me the option whether to give him a larval tear needed for rebirth, and now hes in the boss room of the academy lying in the floor and i cant talk to him. EDIT: I think this is just a dead-end for his quest sadly because in the Great Rune of the Unborn description says "Children born anew by Rennala are all frail and short-lived"
