Any endo veterans somehow still shocked at how horrific the symptoms can be?
As a bit of a background: 31 years old. Been dealing with endo symptoms since I got my first period at 11. Got officially diagnosed with stage 4 about 6 years ago via laparoscopic surgery. As mentioned above, I’ve been dealing with this s**t for about 20 years and I’m somehow still not used to it. The amount of blood I lose during a period still makes me audibly gasp. The pain I’m in on a regular basis still baffles and terrorizes me (and, frankly, makes me wish I could temporarily transfer to others so they can see I’m not a baby). The fatigue, the bladder issues, the bowel issues etc. never cease to horrify me and catch me off guard. You never get used to this crap. Yet I’m so sick of it! I know you guys relate. I had to vent because, as supportive as my loved ones are, they will never understand.
