How long did your partner hold onto the ring before proposing?

My boyfriend and I ordered a custom ring that is set to arrive on Tuesday. I’m trying to get an idea of how long most men took to plan a proposal after obtaining the ring, so I know when to get my nails done. Thoughts on this?

Edited to add: okay, so the consensus is that half of y’all got engaged fast (within a few hours/days/weeks) and half of y’all waited MONTHS. Hoping I’m apart of the first group!
