Haven’t played in over a decade
Hey guys I was hoping for some feedback. I played eve from around 2009ish to around 2013ish. My main toon can fly carriers (although I never actually flew one) and I have a few high end tengus and a bunch of battleships etc… I quit mainly because of burn out. At the time my job was pretty demanding and eve was just too much of a commitment. Recently I find myself unemployed and bored and I’ve considered jumping back in, but I have some concerns. First, I’d have to relearn how to play, and considering eve has more of a learning cliff than a learning curve it’s kinda of intimidating. Plus I’d have to learn all the other stuff that has been added since I’ve been gone which feels like a pretty daunting task. Second I’ve heard that eve ownership changed hands and there have been some pay to win stuff added (more than just buying plex and turning them to isk).
I’m also wondering how the game “feels” now. Is it more fun/rewarding than it was a decade ago or do you feel like it’s been going the wrong direction (like most of modern gaming). Just looking for some feedback before I jump into the deep end again.
