My current ranking of Eusexua

  1. 24hr dog: Beautiful song but it's too sad and eerie for me

  2. Wanderlust: Vocals are beautiful but it feels a little out of place in the album.

  3. Childlike things: I actually think this song is so fun and fits the album in a weird way, but the crappy Japanese and random north west feature is odd.

  4. Sticky: Don't hate me😭 this song just doesn't do it for me. It's gorgeously produced. But the piano reminds me so much of Hailee Steinfeld's Starving from 2016 which is such a basic pop song (no hate to Hailee I love her) I know people have been referencing Aphex twins' avril 14th but I don't hear it as much.

  5. Keep it, hold it: The beat drop is one of my favourite moments from the album, but the first part of the song is kind of boring 😩 and the use of Asian instruments feels kind of strange to me though it's also very bjork-coded so I kind of get it.

  6. Girl feels good: Such a 90s song, it's so fresh and it's one of the easier to digest songs of the album. it is a little repetitive in my opinion though.

  7. Drums of death: Such a brilliant song. I feel like a lot of alternative/experimental artists utilize the glitchy sound in their music, but twigs took it and ran with it and made such an addicting beat with it. it perfectly fits the album.

  8. Room of fools: Such a bjork style song. I absolutely love the growl in her voice when singing "this room of fools". it's similar to girl feels good in the sense that they're both very 90s inspired, but I feel this song shakes things up a bit more. it maintains its experimental sound while also being a song you could play at the club which is a hard line to walk.

  9. Perfect stranger: It's the most commercial sounding song from this album, but it's also one of the best produced in my opinion. I feel the idea behind the song is misunderstood. I've seen it referred to as a song about sex with random strangers but that's so simplistic. the song targets such a universal experience: a craving for simplicity. it's about the idea that sex or any interaction with a stranger is far simpler than one with someone you already have a relationship with. It's about being able to build and maintain a false idea of who this person is. It's about knowing you're lying to yourself but being ok with it because you'll never have to know the truth. It's one of her more relatable songs.

  10. Striptease: One of her best songs to date. it's truly genius. she flawlessly blends so many different sounds and comes off as truly angelic. the production is incredible, the emotion behind her voice feels so genuine, and the last third of the song features some of her best vocals yet (very reminiscent of Caroline polacheck) this song is up there with cellophane as a magnum opus.

  11. Eusexua: Relatively on par with striptease when it comes to production, emotion and vocals, the only reason I placed it higher is because it perfectly encapsulates the album as a whole and being the first single it has a special place in my heart. the last lines in the song feature some of her most beautiful writing.
