I’m in the mood for charming magicians

Wizards, witches, sorcerers, mages - wherever you want to call them. They can be protagonists, love interests, sidekicks, or mentors. I’d prefer them to not be either children or super old. I’d prefer them not to be straight villains although they can be antagonistic at times. They don’t need to be traditionally attractive but they should have some charisma.

Some examples I can think of are Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (both of them!), Professor Snape or any of the adults from Harry Potter, Gale from the BG3 game.
