Robinhood question

I see all this hate for robinhood. I understand they turned off the buy button. I was there, I remember. But as I recall, they didn’t turn off the sell button… so when GME MOASS occurs we will be fine if we hold in robinhood… am I misremembering 2021? Why would buy button being turned off matter to me, an individual investor, that plans to sell and collect gains?
