F4 Thailand Thoughts
I know it's been 2 years since the drama released but i just finished binge-watching it yesterday and i wanted to remember it! it's wonderful to read other's views on something you love and i thought i'd add something too :) It's honestly so beautiful- i don't always see myself rooting for love stories but this one really hooks to your heart and give you feelings of magic and warmth and goodness.
- Thyme and Gorya look great together and it was a bit surprising how they make it work so well seeing how bright is playboy HOT hot and tu's got the sweetest baby face. Actually all of the casting was right on point.
- I wish there were a couple more intimate/kiss scenes (aaaaah). Like there were so many points with AMAZING potential and the sofa one was so cute and i wanted more!!!! i hate the other boys for interrupting them up on the terrace.
- The cinematography is really beautiful+ the locations were great. Right from thyme's and gorya's house (her lane is so homely) to the kocher stadium and the village and the beach. the bridge where ren and gorya talk- thyme's balcony- the flower shop- beautiful.
- This one annoys me the most. I want to know more about Gorya's career ambitions! She's brave and bright and good but i wish her dreams were given enough attention and we were given something about what she does after highschool (and sorry, have i missed something? i bingewatched so skipped ahead a few times). Thyme has his business that he works for, and what about the others? maybe i need a fanfic here. (any recs?)
- Idk if im the only one annoyed by this but why'd they all have to speak a sentence so slowly and with so many breaks?
- The scene with Thyme and Lita where she drops her robe and he gently puts something over her to cover her from behind is so esquisite
- I wish the show had not ended with Prom, but with Mira's wedding. Like come on. Also how do you deny Gorya her dress bro? She'd have looked so beautiful (remember how AMAZING she looked in the black dress that Thyme dresses her in?) That, and she would've worn Mira's heels. Fuck.
- Ren is such a sweetheart. I keep seeing comments about how he deserved Gorya but honestly it makes sense- when the timing isn't right, more than just one thing slips from your hands. I think he eventually finds someone perfect as he grows older tho. (also if not for gorya's initial crush on him, the way they interacted gave me a siblings-kinda vibe sometimes)
- I love thyme's character development arch. Perfectly well paced. Bright does a wonderful job, as do the writers.
- I wish Kavin's story with Mona hadn't come so abruptly and late. We could've had something consistently+ give me mj content bro he's so lovable.
That's it for now! The show makes me want to be as righteous as gorya+ have a boyf as precious as thyme. 10/10 recommend for simps like me.
Oh also, a Thai doubt: why is Ren pronounced Len? Or maybe the other way round- if the names are pronounced a certain way, even like 'Go-ya', why do the english names not phonetically match?
