Okay, now I think we should give Valve some props

I'm not gonna make a super long winded post just gassing up Valve, I'm going to be critical as well. It has been a tough journey since the release of CS2, Valve could've done better from launch, they should've done better about 8 or 9 months ago. But I would say in the last 3 months they have shown a lot more responsiveness when it comes to updates and the progress they have made to getting the game back to the state of CS:GO deserves recognition. It seems the community outcry after Valve failed to acknowledge the one year anniversary of CS2 was the major turning point in the game's development schedule.

The CS community is always extremely vocal about every issue with the game and that's completely understandable. Valve doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for essentially going radio silent and producing very few noticeable updates within the first 1.5 years of the game. But I do believe we are on the right track (for now) with regular updates being pushed out almost every other week since the Armory Update in September. I feel that predictive damage was a substantial upgrade in terms of how the game feels.

However, it does feel like Valve are taking the hardest path to making the game feel satisfying to play though. Predictive damage feels like a "fix it with duct tape" solution. It's a programming/networking trick to make confirming kills feel quicker when both Valve and players-alike both know the real solution is obvious. 128 tick servers would feel so much better, I truly believe it would be a totally different game. I can only hope that Valve will eventually either concede that 64 sub-tick can't perform as well as standard 128 tick, or a substantial breakthrough is made that allows 64 sub-tick to match the performance of 128.

With that said, we should acknowledge the improvements Valve have made in the last few months and kindly let them know we would like these improvements to continue at the same rate. Valve's CS2 team having a seemingly renewed focus on CS2, I'm sure they are aware that the work isn't done yet. I hope that Valve's next major update addresses other big issues with the game such as the cheating problem, subtick, surfing, expanded features for Premier, etc.
