Does anyone know why they changed the coatings on recent 43Xs?

For the past few weeks I've noticed that the 43Xs we get in stock have a slide coating that looks more like the Gen 3 coating than the Gen 5. It's rougher and looks more matte and it's pretty evident in the photos. The 48s and the 43X MOSs we get in stock still have the better coating on them, it's only the standard 43X models that seem to be affected. Anyone know what's going on?
