Issue with Pixel 6 call quality?

Has anyone had issues with call quality, especially over wifi, on the 6 (with Verizon)?

I've always had bad reception in my apartment, but usually it's fine if I have wifi calling on. Since switching from a Pixel 2 to the 6, though, my reception seems even worse, and everyone says I sound garbled and hard to hear, even over wifi. Switching to speakerphone sometimes helps, but it didn't on my last call - which also dropped with a "server can't be reached" message. Any suggestions?
