How important is GRE Math to Philosophy Admissions?

I'm applying to two schools that require the GRE as an option; CUNY Graduate Center & Boston College. I'm very much looking to do research in the history of philosohy and the continental tradition. When I took my practice GRE, I scored in the 92nd percentile on writing and verbal, and in the 42nd percentile on math. Should I focus on trying to get my math up to something more impressive, or should I try for more of an average in math and really go for broke on improving my writing and reading skills?
