Thoughts on the G octave seven-string?

I had actually never heard of this type of setup. I always knew about the extra B for the low end but the double G is new to me. I guess it makes sense, but personally I might just go for the full twelve if I’m looking for that sort of vibe. Especially on acoustic where you can really milk the full ringing on big open chords. Anyone ever actually play this thing? It’s a neat concept but makes sense that they are no longer putting money into manufacturing the line.
