Leggings falling apart after 2 wears. What should I do?

I recently bought some leggings from GS for Black Friday, after saving up for ages. I only found out about the dip in quality after I purchased them.

The crotch seam of my Lift Contour Seamless leggings is coming apart after 2 (gentle) wears - I haven’t even washed them yet. I’m not sure if returning them is a possibility, as the import tax I paid to get them was already 74% of the total price, and it’s not worth paying that again. Has anyone had a similar experience, or had any luck with getting a refund/exchange in this case? I live in a 3rd world country (South Africa), so not too sure if an exchange is possible.

I’d really appreciate any input, as I spent so much money on these and am very disappointed. Thanks in advance 🙏.
