Overcharged For Medication
I bought a medication from CVS that was 55 dollars when it was supposed to be 10. I had already talked to my insurance (Aetna) before I picked it up and they called CVS, told me CVS told them it would be 10 dollars at pickup. Sure enough, when I came it was 55. I needed it today so I paid and figured I’d try and sort it out later.
So I called Aetna and they told me I paid 10 dollars on their end. I assured them it was 55 and after some back and forth, being on hold for 30 minutes I was transferred to member services. Upon answering they asked if I’d talked to CVS about this, I said yes and they proceeded to hang up without saying anything. Whether or not it was on purpose, WTF? Is this an insurance issue or somehow a problem that CVS made only CVS can fix?
