Hong Kong SIM card deactivation
I recently went to HK and decided to buy a SIM card just to have easy access to the internet instead of being heavily reliant on WiFi. On my flight way back home, I decided to swap my HK physical SIM card back to my actual official SIM card. I accidentally dropped my HK SIM card on the plane and didn't bother searching for it anymore since I really don't see myself using it in the future (despite registering it under my name).
Now, I know I'm going to sound paranoid, but I feel like anyone could use that as a burner SIM card under my name and can use it for fraudulent reasons. How would I know if it is still active? Is it possible to remotely deactivate it, as a foreigner who no longer have the SIM card in possession? If I decide to go back to HK in the future, is there a limit to the number of SIM cards I can register (just to know if I should keep the next SIM card that I will buy suppose I go there again)?
