"Visceral" horror movies?

Not necessarily just body horror, not gore...but very physical, visceral horror? I don't know if there is a genre for what I'm talking about. I don't even know what Im talking about, period.

I'm thinking like spiders crawling all over, breaking bones (whether by perpetrator, through accidentally injury, self inflicted, etc), parasites, skin splitting or peeling off, hair falling out, spontaneous combustion, etc, etc.

I don't care if the concept is paranormal based, thriller, gore, etc. I think that's why I'm struggling. Or is this simply just gore?
