New builds :// Underfloor heating. Solution is to break the floor and replace the entire underfloor heating system???

Hi everyone, I’m in a bit of a nightmare situation and could really use some advice. A couple of months ago, our heating interface completely shut down due to an issue with the electrical supply. We called out an engineer from our supplier, and they said the problem was caused by a blown fuse, which just needed replacing.

However, every time a new fuse is installed, it keeps blowing again. We then called an electrician, and they said the issue likely lies with the underfloor heating system, which they believe has been compromised and requires a full replacement. This means breaking the floor and completely replacing the entire system. I honestly have no idea how I’d afford such a massive job, and I’m not even sure how feasible it is to carry out.

I’ve been sitting in the cold for months now—it’s peak winter, and it’s snowing all over the UK. I can’t bear this any longer. Any help or advice would be so greatly appreciated. Is it more of an electical issue??? Short circuits maybe?? Or is the only solution really to replace the whole system?? Please help
