VIMLE and FINNALA compatibility?

I've had a VIMLE loveseat for about two years that I purchased as-is when it was being discontinued, and am currently looking for a sofa with chaise. My local IKEA always has FINNALA chaises in as-is. Does anyone know if the chaise from FINNALA would be at all compatible with VIMLE? It's hard to find any consistent answers in regards to what the difference between the two articles are. Any help greatly appreciated.
