Molotovs are op right?

I've died a total of 10 times in my current game (against ai) and every one of them have been from hail mary molotovs from across the map. I've seen them come out of the hands of the enemy, and ran the opposite direction from where they've landed, and still died every time. Any suggestions on how to escape these portable suns?
