So indecisive! Could you guys help?
TLDR at bottom.
Let me put this out there first: I’m well aware of how some dislike Hyundai, however people also dislike Apple, Google, Amazon and pretty much every other major company and manufacturer too so I’m going based off of what I know. What I know is contrary to popular opinion Hyundai’s can be fairly reliable depending on how well you take care of them. My grandmother had a 2015 Sonata that she traded in last year for her new (to her) 2021 Sonata limited and every time I’ve driven that car I can’t help but be impressed and give credit where it’s due. The features stand out from the others, and the sleek design is a great touch. Between this year and next I’d like to purchase my first vehicle on my own, got a 2018 Honda Accord for graduation in 2021 and unfortunately she’s obviously getting up there in mileage. While in pursuit of this vehicle I’ve kind of put myself in a debate, between a truck like the Ridgeline and F-150 and a regular SUV like a Santa Fe, Passport, Ioniq 5/6.
What would be some factors that would potentially make me lean more towards an EV like the Ioniq 5/6? Is owning an EV really a bad investment or are there some factors that could make me feel more confident about buying and owning a EV?
TLDR: I’m currently indecisive about buying an EV because everyone (who happens to not own one) has said not all of the kinks are worked out yet, would an Ioniq be a bad decision? What do you guys think of your Ioniq?
