You are not alone.

Hi everyone, I´m a jew who lives in South America, and like almost every jew over here, I´m deeply zionist, and also, my plans are to make aliyah when I finish my studies.

I recently returned from Israel, where I participated in a volunteer program alongside over 30 people aged 20 to 30. During the program, we engaged in various activities such as working the land, preparing meals for soldiers and less fortunate kids, connecting with 7/10 survivors and people who lost loved ones that day. We also visited IDF bases to cheer miluim through BBQs and contributed in various other ways that we believe positively impacted Israel and its people.

Why am I writing this? It's not because I'm seeking praise, but because A LOT of Israelis we spoke to expressed feeling alone in this very tough time. They were shocked when we told them about our experiences in our home countries and explained why we felt the need to volunteer over there.

Since the 7/10 massacre, no Jewish community outside Israel has remained unchanged. WE ARE WITH YOU, in spirit, and even sometimes physically, and it breaks my heart that most of you don´t know it (of course it´s not your fault). I know for a fact that we are not the same because I am not the same, my family is not the same, my friends are not the same and my community is not the same as a couple of months ago. Everyone has done something for Israel and its people or has changed something (e.g., daily tefillin wrapping) in their honor.

I don´t want to extend this much more so please, please, know that you have millions of jews all around the world who are actively thinking about you every day, wishing you the best, sending strength and praying so we can overcome this and are THAT crazy about your well being that some even traveled all around the world to a tiny country during wartime so they could help you and your country at least a little bit. We are a big family and we have failed to demonstrate our support even though we are grieving with you, hopefully this post can help towards rectifying this, watching and hearing israelis feel alone in this world was one of the most challenging things I experienced during this trip.

Of course, even though I´m closer to my jewish family, this isn´t just for jewish israelis, we pray for EVERY israeli that is working towards a better Israel.

We love you.
