opinion: he should not have released the voice note
the public was on justins side before this voice note.. in my opinion he should have stopped there.. the audio has several aspects that can be used against him/make him look less good..
he came off as a pushover and a kiss up.. he was so encouraging of blake to takeover with his promises and extensive remorse and adoration for her creative input.. which can be used against him and frame it has his fault for encouraging her.
it compromises his credibility a bit, because he says hes against her doing this and he didnt like it, which makes him look like a liar in his voice note, or that he was being fake. i hate to say this cause i am team justin and i want him to get the publics support and think he is genuinely kind and good natured.
- it was cringe to listen to, for me, as a fan and supporter of justin. before this vn, i found him super hot and after it i got turned off by the people pleaser, pushover energy.. i think it may have been the case with other women who had a hot fantasy image of him in their minds up until the vn. just my experience and opinion... but since a big part of his fanbase are women who find him attractive, this part can affect this fan base.
- also, its giving some people things to cherry pick and criticize and turn against him and frame him as a creep.. team blake are hyperfocusing on the 2 a.m. part, the joke he made when he said "fuck me" or " you have a baby on ur boob", etc. theyre taking it out of context but it gave them material to do it.
- it also takes away attention from the raw footage video which was a much bigger smoking gun imo.
