How are some writers producing Novels so quickly

This maybe a stupid question but how are some writers cranking out multiple books a year? I know not all of them can be doing it full time. I know it’s not all high brow work and that’s fine but I look on kindle and see multiple book series four five six books with publication dates within a few months of each other. Are the siting on a book to release it as a series or what?
