Reorganization at KLM - What do you expect?

So, just read in (Dutch) news, KLM is preparing a reogranisation. They want to cut costs and improve revenue/profit. I wonder what other redditors think about this. To me it feels KLM is slowly becoming more and more a low-cost airline. Over the years they removed a lot of services in flight (no liquor after meal, recently no pillows, hot snacks became a cheap sandwich, no default checking luggage etc etc). I understand aviation is a very competitive business and it is maybe hard to compete with airlines from countries with lower salaries/labour rights. However there is for me a limit to how low they can go, and if there are other airlines on a route now, i choose those over KLM. I guess that is not what they want.

For example, the article linked below (dutch) mention they are considering to move to a basic meal and charge for extra snacks/drinks.

Curious about opnions!
