has kn always been city based per season?

as the title says, has kn always been city based? i feel like the two recent seasons have been pretty vocal with the city their filming in (i know the current one that's on now make sense with the super bowl theme )

i don't know if i have never realized or they never talked about it. financially it makes sense.
