Just finished LN and…
I just had to write this somewhere but ahhh I hate when authors don't properly show what happens after the "end". I actually didn't mind the ending other than that goodbye being so ass and the shitty one liners for the characters but after binging this series this past week I think everything else was alright. Just wish we had even a tiny bit more and with Sariel being the whole point feels like I was robbed of at least seeing them interact. Also I am kind of annoyed humanity got off scott free but you could argue they had already paid back. Didn't like the illogical way they got to the end though by rewarding shuns brainless optimism, thought this story would be a bit different and would force them to face the reality of the situation. Also just don't like that it was him lol. Wish we could have more white chapters as well. You can definitely see the decline in the past four novels in that regard with a bunch of side characters taking the stage. Almost felt toward the end like she wasn't even the main character of her own story. Didn't mind that she ended up with D though, just leaves it open for me to think she's going to be planning her escape or developing as a god, but again just sad she didn't get a proper goodbye. So instead I'll just pretend that she did and remember the rest of the story which is still really good.
One thing I didn't get though is why she needed to be the villain the whole time. I feel like if she just told black the plan he would have happily given up his energy and avoided this whole thing instead of trying to be the villain killing off humanity if she was never planning for that anyway. But that's the only thing.
Actually there was one more thing, they mentioned some guy sue had a close relationshop with the outro thing, was that just the hero, or was it Hugo?
Anyway, just wanted to rant but overall glad I read this ln, really different from the typical stuff, and I really enjoyed the ride. Just wish there was more payoff at the end with character interactions, especially when the story takes so much time to build them and emphasize them.
