Questions for people who considered Lucid coming from other high-performance vehicles
I posted previously about my current position- moving on from my lovely now-10-year-old Jag XJL 5.0 V8 with 470 horses. I have now test driven the Lucid Touring and wanted to reach out again about the decision making process and get some more feedback to help me make a decision from those of you who went through something similar.
I love the feel/handling and power of driving my car- it's not something I am willing to give up. The Touring has amazing power- incredible speed... but the handling... feels sluggish, likely due to the heft of the car. Is this something you've gotten used to and appreciate, or is there regret that the car is not as nimble? How do you rate the driveability of the car in comparison to Porsche, Maserati, BMW M, etc?
The interior design is cool... but spartan in comparison to the luxury of the XJ/Mercedes/Maserati etc.. Do you find that you get used to the design and not notice a difference? or is there a step down?
For a great car, the engine noise is not noise but music. Do you miss hearing more than road noise when you hit the gas (er... accelerator)?
Styling... the Lucid Air body design has grown on me a bit, but it does seem rather dull compared to more aggressive and curvy styling of other luxury brands. How did this factor into your decision making?
For the record, I have tested several cars now, and find the closest in "spirit" to my XJL is the Maserati Quattroporte (Morderna). I see however that Maserati seems to have similar problems to Jaguar and the Quattroprte won't be produced after last year.
I'd love to year about your experiences in the decision making process. Thanks!
