Options?

I have fallen in love with this lava lamp by Mathmos. I want it SO badly. I... live in Canada. They don't ship to Canada.

What options do I have? I'm willing to pay a reasonable price, but I'm concerned about getting scammed. I'm also willing to try making my own fluid/wax if I could just get this copper base and cap. I'm in love with the plum/dried blood color wax combined with the copper base! (Copper is my favorite color)
