Why do conservatives pride themselves on protecting woman but also hate woman?

I just wanted to make this post because I just read an article today where Trump signed an executive order to ban trans women from women's sports. And they are doing this to claim to wanna protect women yet they are the same ones who denied women abortion rights? Furthermore, trans people only make up like 1% of our population I just find it funny instead of helping the CIS woman they attack the trans woman.
