LPT request: can’t sleep
i’ve tried melatonin, benadryl, warm tea, no electronics before bed, a sleep mask, weighted blanket, calming music, lavender essential oil, and weed.
the only thing that helps even a little bit is weed but i do not enjoy getting high EVERY day, and i have to get pretty high in order to fall asleep and stay asleep.
i’ve spoke to my doctor about it multiple times (because this has been going on for about 4 months straight) and his suggestion is to “just try to sleep” LIKE IM NOT TRYING. i currently don’t have a job or any other commitments, so it’s not the most important thing that i have the sleeping habits i do, but i’m very tired and i need help.
i usually eventually end up falling asleep around 6am, am up for about 15-20 minutes around 7:30-8am and wake up for the day between 9-11am. and about once a week or so i crash and will sleep for 12-16 hours straight. it’s really weighing on my mental health/relationship/etc.
can anyone recommend more natural remedies for my issue?? since my doctor told me he’s not concerned, and therefore will not even see me for an appointment, i’m lost. i feel like i’ve tried everything and still don’t have a solution.
