Is ~1k sq ft enough for one person?

A few months ago I got out of a 10 year relationship. I haven’t ever really lived solo, and will be moving out of my rental house soon. It is roughly 1900 sqft, and feels too large to justify for one person.

The place I have been looking at is a rental home in a complex (think apartment complex but with small houses instead). The unit is 2 bed 2 bath about 980 sqft with a detached garage and small backyard.

I love the unit itself, however I am a little concerned with the amount of space. I WFH, so I really need my environment to feel cozy (especially now in times of healing).

Is ~1k sqft enough space for one person + a dog and two cats?
