She had caught the eye of Zeus, King of The Gods, whom she became essentially the concubine/bride of however Hera, Goddess of Marriage and Queen of The Gods, became enraged when she found out that Leto had become pregnant with the children of Zeus.
As Hera had been delaying Leto's Pregnancy and forbidding her to give birth to the twin's, Leto set off by herself in search of a place to comfortably and safely give birth to the twins.
Whilst growing desperate in finding shelter, Leto had found the Island of Delos. Once she had became comfortable, Leto gave birth to the Golden-haired baby boy Apollo, whom is the God of Light, and The Night-Haired baby girl Artemis, whom is the Goddess of the hunt. As years went by, Zeus occasionally visited and one day brought two bows for each of the twins that had been hand-crafted by Hephaeustus, God of Fire and Forging.
As those same years had passed, Hera had let out the mighty python to delay leto from giving birth to the twins and leading her to be consistently tormented by the python. Apollo with his bow, went after the python whom had been tormenting his mother alongside a bane for the people of Delphi and sought to put an end to it. He slain the Python and because of this, In his honour an Oracular shrine as he had stated later on to had been built In Delphi and still stands today. (Also in Hellenism, we tend to seperate the dieties from the Myths :) and I do hope that you all enjoy these weekly tales of him! đ¤)
