ronnie being a hypocrite

okay so i’ve been loving ronnie & harrietts journey, i don’t think they’ll last at all but they were entertaining and i wish they hadn’t been booted

however them on the podcast have pissed me off a bit (posted on love islands socials)

amy asks who they would’ve picked out of all the couples and they said ekin & curtis. ronnie said because of their ‘whole journey’ ‘the last week or so’ and then said ‘you’ve just made her your girlfriend, i didn’t think that was the time to do it’

am i missing something here? is this not hugely hypocritical and ridiculous? not even in defense of ekin and curtis (though their reasons were stupid) did ronnie not try to ask harriett to be his girlfriend and she told him not to ask? hello? and to judge ‘their journey’ (as if he got danielle pregnant or something) after what ronnie did to harriett less than six months ago?
