Did somebody ever tell you, that you are wasting your life playing games? Here is what I think!

While games themselves are obviously not reality, there are aspects about them that are not as surreal as one might think.

The moments when you shoot bad guys inside an FPS, beat a boss in some MMO, or build a whole town in a sandbox together. I feel like I've made more true friends online, then I have made offline.

And is it really any wonder? I've caught myself laughthing, crying, scared and breathless within games. And I've shared those moments with the people, I can truly call friends nowdays.

I will never forget the moment when I mined and smelted my first iron ore in Minecraft, with my friends patiently waiting for the "OMG, this game is amazing!" moment! I hold those moments dearly, as much as moments that happened in the real world.

For me, the VR world is as real as it can get, for exactly that reason.

You might call me odd or weird, but then ask yourself if you haven't given it your all at least once to save this dying friend of yours or even animal NPC companion online... I bet you have!

So don't you dare call the time wasted! If a true gamer dies at the end of their real life, they haven't lived just one, but countless!

Thanks for reading and have a nice one, everyone!

And to my personal friends reading this: You are the best, and I can't imagine a life without you anymore!
