HG Primer Discontinued! 😭

Hi All,

I’ve been using The Mattifier by Estée Lauder for about 10 years, and I’m devastated to say that it’s been discontinued! 😭 I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement but can’t seem to find anything that comes close. I’m open to suggestions and while I’d prefer to not break the bank, I don’t mind opting for a prestige brand if it will match the performance + longevity of The Mattifier.

Note: my skin generally reacts poorly to salicylic acid, but I can tolerate willow bark fairly well. I’ve had my eye on the Smashbox control primer, but am unsure of how my skin would react.

So far I’ve tried: -Elizabeth Mott “Thank Me Later” Mattifying primer -L’Oréal Infallible Matte Lock Primer -Nyx Shine Killer (absolutely hated this one, lol) -Supergoop! Glowscreen (have not yet tried the matte version)

Also open to any moisturizers, powders, or setting sprays that have a mattifying effect as well. Thank you in advance!!
