Miata as a daily throughout all year?

Hey, so I’m planing to get my drivers license this month and I want my first car to be a miata. The problem is that since I’m still in highschool I’ll have to rely solely on the miata to get me places all year round. My question is which model of the MX-5 should I go for both price and care wise? How can I take care of the car in the winter cause I know miatas are really prone to rust?
