Fellow ode and MM

I just upgraded from a 10 year old Phillips filter coffee machine with a blade grinder 🙈 to a fellow ode grinder and a Moccamaster Select. Huge difference already!

I’m pretty new to this so could use some help in figuring out the best ratios + grinder settings.

Fellow ode recommends 4-6 grinder setting for filter coffee on an electric machine. I tried 5 and it seemed ok. Right now I’m using 55g of medium roast beans for 1/1 (8) water in the moccamaster with the setting to full pot. Does that ratio sound ok? Should I be putting half pot?

When the fellow ode grinder grinds, does it usually do the full amount in one go? I realized that on my second try it didn’t seem to grind the full 55g, wondering if maybe something got stuck or if that’s normal 🧐

Any suggestions or thoughts to make it an even better pot of coffee?
