First moissanite! Stock Diamondrensu ring in unplated 14k white gold
Very excited about my first moissanite! At 6mm, the rainbow sparkle is more subtle (as expected) but looks oh so beautiful through the blue.
I was curious about unplated white gold, and the tone of the gold is as lovely as I imagined. It's hard to capture with my phone camera but in some lighting it looks very white (unless compared directly next to silver) and in other lighting the very pale yellow comes through more, as anticipated. I've heard 10k is typically whiter, but I like the warmer tone. I've also heard that 10k may not always have enough gold to prevent tarnishing from other metals that may be used in some alloys? I'm unsure whether that's true or not. All that to say, I'm very pleased with my metal selection!
