Since Wilds is coming out next year what's some of your opinions on the most recent game in the series?
I started off with Rise as my first introduction to monster hunter and then went to world and got to the endgames in both recently. In my personal opinion base rise is like a 6/10 since although it's good, after the story there wasn't really much else to do. Then when sunbreak came around it immediately changed my opinion on the game and it made it a 9/10 experience for me. The versatility in gameplay, the new and returning monsters felt fun to fight, the story felt a bit stronger compared to world's and the NPC's had a bit more involvement both inside the story and in general gameplay. I loved the palico and palamute system and how you can actually change their attack style to be more melee, ranged, or supportive. The switch skills brought some new playstyles to the weapons which helped me get into learning multiple of them throughout my gameplay. Sure it may have had some of its downsides like the rampage mode, expensive upgrades, and the rng aspect of qurios armor crafting, but looking past all of that the game is still fun.
I'm still playing both world and rise and I'm trying to get myself into GU and Frontier but I'm still trying to get into the switch controls and my pc needs better wifi and a better ram upgrade cus i still have some stuttering issues but other than that, yea, Rise + Sunbreak was my favorite game in the franchise.
