Is this how the full game is supposed to be?

I know a demo is supposed to be almost identical to the full game and this is a beta of Wild, not a demo. Still I am getting pretty annoyed with Arkveld almost beating it just for that timer making me waste my time and lose my progress! I haven't played a MH game since World without the expansion so I am very curious if it's like this in the full game. Even if it isn't this, ultimately decides whether I'll buy the game or not and so far this boss makes me reconsider even buying it
