We got a runner

Got this one last summer. She was a puppy with only two leaves. Was growing beautifully and putting out leaves until it stop and now its just a stem. From what i read here on reddit shes a runner and cutting the stem and using a pole would solve this problem. However im kind of confused on what type of pole should i use... moss pole? Flat wood with rubber bands securing the stem? My house is really humid, would the moss pole be to much and lead to damage?
