Mod 2 - Shieldhall or not?

Hey all,

Just passed my mod 1 and am now obviously looking to do the mod 2. But my nearest DVSA centre is Glasgow Shieldhall, which I've discovered has one of the lowest mod 2 pass rates in the country at just 56%. The next nearest sites are Ayr with 74% and Hamilton with 65%.

I've read in various forums references to the mod 2 test routes at Shieldhall going through the mad roundabouts at Braehead and a couple of areas of rapidly changing and confusing speed limits. But that information is from several years ago.

So, I'd be grateful for an opinion from anyone who's done their mod 2 at Shieldhall recently. Is it really that bad, or am I imagining monsters under the bed?

(An obvious course is to just do the mod 2 at Ayr anyway, but given it's helpful to do training in the area used for the mod 2 that entails more than doubling my travel time for the test and each lesson.)
