Movies with very limited sets. Preferably only one or two rooms. I feel the acting and writing needs to be top notch so the movie can’t lean on set design to make up for shortcomings.

Genre is unimportant, here. Cube fit the bill for this, as did 12 angry men, and The Sunset Limited.

Edit: watched Locke right off the bat, so many other people have posted about it on here. Holy buckets, what a movie! Exactly what I was looking for. Very excited to keep going through this list! Thank you all so much!

Edit 2: watched My Dinner With Andre next. Hits this nail right on the head. It’s a little dated but I didn’t mind, and there was a delightful, unintentional little Easter egg from Wallace Shawn about 2/3 of the way through.
