The trade isnt that bad youre all overreacting

How is this any different than if they traded luka for a pile of firsts just to later trade for whatever star hits the market next? The value is fine. You get AD whose worth like 3 or 4 firsts on his own on top of an unprotected first and Max Christie. Maybe slightly less than if they traded him for picks straight up but then youre just punting this season and people are acting like Nico might as well be hitler for at worst a slight loss. The Mavs are still a contender, arguably more so one than the Lakers even after this.

People are getting too caught up in trading a superstar at this age but if theyre putting him on the block the injury concerns have to be legitimate, so why ride him for most likely more failed seasons while his body decays and his value declines to embiid level??
