Passed on my second attempt! Here's some info on what I did in case it helps you(:
Hello Everyone!
I took my 2nd attempt yesterday and found out this morning that I passed! I would like to share some resources and studying I did that helped me.
First attempt: All I used was UWorld, and ended up failing at 75qs, HOWEVER...I am pretty sure I had a major panic attack during my first attempt and that is why I failed. I honestly remember walking into the testing center and then I came back at some point in the car with my mother. She even stated that she could tell something was wrong when I walked out. I don't remember a single thing from that exam, or a single thing I read. I don't even remember if I had to answer NGN questions after. It was rough. Therefore, I still think UWorld is a great resource even though it is ungodly expensive.
Second attempt: My UWorld expired so I was no longer using that. Instead, I purchased the $11 NCLEX 26 from allnursingnotes.com. It is a down and dirty review on all the systems. Nothing fancy just a quick boom boom boom. I also purchased a $40 monthly subscription to nurse plus academy This isn't anything like UWorld, the questions do seem simpler and the rationals are very short. However, I highly recommend this, as several questions on my NCLEX I was able to answer because of this website. It may not work for your style of learning, but if it is like mine, I truly believed this helped me pass.
I also reviewed registerednurseRN's YouTube videos, and did a LOT of her nclex reviews and quizes. I am a audio visual learner, so I listened and wrote notes. I didn't really review the notes, but the process of writing seemed to help me.
That is all I did to review, and I hope this helps some of you! If you have any questions let me know, and I will try to help/answer!
