Why hasn't any NFL team realized you can just injure the enemy team's Quarterback?

It seems like a good strategy. For example, let's say I'm the coach of the....Chargers or Broncos or Raiders. I know a Mahomes-led team will win the division handedly. So why couldn't I just get one of my players and order them to go in the game and break Mahome's leg or bust up his knee or something? Then the Chiefs will suck and you win and get to the playoffs
